Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Division Manager to drive growth in the fire and life safety business, lead a division team and back-office staff, and own the results within a vibrant national organization.

You will develop strategic growth plans, manage annual budgets and the P&L, monitor cash flow and working capital, and ensure safety culture across the division while delivering customer and employee satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of division management experience in fire and life safety.
• Proven track record of growing a division.
• Ability to communicate with leadership, staff, customers, and vendors.
• Strong leadership and team-building ability.
• Knowledge of current fire and life safety systems.
• Familiarity with NFPA codes and standards.
• Understanding of P&L and financial drivers.
• Ability to attract, develop, and retain a team.
• Professional business or engineering degree.
• Excellent organizational and decision-making skills.
• Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage fire and life safety activities in an assigned division.
• Develop and implement a strategic growth strategy.
• Develop annual budgets and achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• Manage Profit and Loss for the Division.
• Support cash flow and Net Working Capital targets.
• Manage and achieve operations performance, including key metrics.
• Build a high-performance culture with engagement reviews.
• Oversee asset management such as inventory and company service vehicles.
• Manpower planning, staffing, and allocation.
• Achieve employee and customer satisfaction targets.
• Communicate with customers, employees, vendors, and partners to meet targets.
• Ensure all employees embrace the safety culture and comply with safety initiatives.
