Job summary

Jobot, a national commercial roofing contractor, seeks a Commercial Roofing Estimator in Phoenix, AZ. This on-site, permanent role focuses on re-roofing, service, maintenance, and roof asset management, with a strong leadership team.

You will develop budgets, prepare bids, perform quantity takeoffs, and work closely with operations to ensure accurate scopes while pursuing profitable opportunities and long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience.
• Knowledge of TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, BUR, coatings, metal roofing, and waterproofing.
• Experience reading plans, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong understanding of labor production rates, material pricing, and project costing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and proposals for commercial roofing projects.
• Review plans, specifications, reports, and site conditions to develop accurate project pricing.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and material calculations.
• Develop budgets for re-roofing, repairs, maintenance, waterproofing, and restoration projects.
• Conduct site visits to evaluate existing roof conditions and project scope.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Work closely with operations teams to ensure scopes are accurate and executable.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, vendors, and manufacturers.
• Assist in contract reviews, scope development, and project handoffs.
• Support business development efforts by providing timely and competitive proposals.
