Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dynamic Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our Elkridge, MD team. This permanent, full-time role requires inspecting sites, reading blueprints, and producing precise estimates for commercial roofing projects.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience, strong negotiation skills, and excels at communicating with clients and stakeholders. We offer medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, generous PTO, and a 100K base plus uncapped commissions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial roofing estimation.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications.
• Strong negotiation skills with track record of favorable terms.
• Excellent numerical skills for accurate estimates.
• Familiarity with industry standard software and tools.
• Excellent communication to explain concepts to clients.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Commitment to accuracy and precision in all aspects of work.
• Construction management or engineering degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough site inspections to assess the scope of roofing projects.
• Analyze blueprints, plans, and other technical documents to understand project requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and other project costs.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure best prices and terms.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and stakeholders to meet requirements.
• Present estimates to clients and explain cost projections clearly.
• Monitor industry trends and pricing fluctuations to stay competitive.
• Maintain detailed records of all estimates for future reference.
• Work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
