Job summary

Airgas in Richmond, IN is seeking a Branch Manager to oversee branch operations, drive sales growth, manage budgeting and margins, and supervise a team across retail, warehouse and distribution. You will ensure safety compliance, inventory control, and strong customer service while guiding staff and improving processes.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in gases or industrial product sales/distribution, 2+ years in leadership, and a track record of coaching teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate/bachelor’s preferred.
• Five+ years in sales and/or distribution of gases and welding supplies or similar industrial products.
• Two+ years of leadership/management experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Leadership: sets standards, delegates, coaches, recognizes contributions.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
• Clear, direct communication with customers and staff.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day branch operations including safety, retail sales, warehousing and distribution.
• Lead a team: Counter Sales, Warehouse, Drivers, Customer Service.
• Review production schedules and time records; monitor worker-hour requirements.
• Enforce safety regulations and company policies; improve methods and efficiency.
• Manage inventory, showroom and warehouse presentation; handle inter-branch transfers.
• Lead annual inventory cycles and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Additional duties as assigned.
