Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Branch Manager in Richmond, IN to lead branch operations, drive sales growth, manage inventories and safety, and oversee a team across counter sales, warehouse, drivers and customer service. The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a focus on operational excellence.

You will ensure customer satisfaction, optimize margins, and coordinate with procurement and delivery teams in a fast-paced retail/distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate/Bachelor preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and/or distribution of gases and welding supplies or similar.
• 2 years of prior management or leadership experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong leadership: set standards, delegate, coach and assess performance.
• Ability to work independently under pressure; strong communication and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day branch operations: safety, sales, warehousing and distribution.
• Manages a team of Counter Sales, Warehouse, Drivers and Customer Service staff.
• Plans production, tracks time and production records.
• Implements safety and efficiency improvements; motivates the crew.
• Oversees inventory, showroom, and inter-branch hard goods flows.
• Leads annual hard goods inventories and supports policy enforcement.
