Job summary

Duke Chevrolet GMC in Suffolk, VA, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead our Internet Sales/BDC team and grow dealership marketing efforts.

The role combines sales leadership, CRM management (VinSolutions preferred), and digital marketing, including social media, email campaigns, and online reputation management. You will analyze performance, coach staff, and drive showroom traffic and vehicle sales.

Qualifications

• Automotive dealership/B/DC/Internet Sales or marketing experience.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Experience with automotive CRM; VinSolutions a plus.
• Understanding of internet lead management and automotive sales processes.
• Experience managing business social media accounts and creating content.
• Experience with Facebook/Instagram.
• Comfortable creating written, photo, and video content for social media.
• Experience with email marketing, website content, digital advertising, and online reputation management.
• Google Analytics experience and ability to interpret website traffic and campaign performance.
• Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing metrics.
• Ability to analyze KPIs and translate data into actions.
• Strong writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Internet Sales/BDC department and daily operations.
• Ensure timely, professional responses to internet leads.
• Develop phone, email, and text follow-up processes.
• Monitor CRM activity for leads, appointments, and communications.
• Coach and train BDC team on customer communication and appointment-setting.
• Track KPIs: appointments, shows, sales, response times.
• Improve lead quality and ROI with providers and vendors.
• Collaborate with Sales to ensure smooth handoffs of internet customers.
• Develop email marketing campaigns for inventory, events, and retention.
• Contribute to website content, banners, and promotions.
• Manage dealership’s social media presence and posting schedule.
• Create and publish engaging social content (photos/videos)
• Monitor comments, reviews, and engagement across channels.
• Develop campaigns to drive repeat business and referrals.
• Review marketing performance and adjust strategies.
