Qualifications

• Minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• 5+ years experience as a restaurant bartender in a high-volume setting with a craft cocktail program.
• High school graduate, some college.
• Current CA Food Handler’s Card.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with guests, management and co-workers in English.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Knowledge of bartender steps of service and KSC standards.

Responsibilities

• Open and complete opening duties.
• Take and document guest orders; utilize suggestive selling techniques.
• Input orders into the POS; communicate with expeditor when POS is down.
• Make and serve alcoholic beverages to guests and servers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Open wine bottles and serve wine by the glass.
• Prepare coffee to restaurant standards.
• Serve all courses and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Acknowledge and anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly.
• Interact courteously with guests, management and coworkers.
• Maintain bar-top cleanliness for the next guest.
• Wash and restock bar glassware during shifts.
• Present checks and process payments per cash and credit policies.
• Close bar duties and report tips at shift end.
• Complete bartender checkout and closing reports.
