CrossCountry Freight Solutions is seeking an Assistant Service Center Manager in Omaha, NE. This role supports the Service Center Manager to oversee daily operations, staff management, safety, and efficient freight movement, with a clear path to a future Service Center Manager position.

You will collaborate with the Sales team, monitor performance metrics, and drive improvements in productivity, service quality, and customer satisfaction while maintaining a productive, safe work culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in LTL operations or a comparable leadership role.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Career-oriented with succession planning mind-set.
• Aptitude for problem solving and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, implementing, and overseeing staff work to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Monitor and direct dispatching activities including tracking, routing, and vehicle dispatch.
• Promote safety and ongoing staff education; enforce safety rules and policies.
• Implement changes to transportation services, policies, or scheduling as needed.
• Collaborate with managers to set goals and improve procedures and outcomes.
• Coach team members to develop talent and depth for growth and operations.
• Ensure high service levels with on-time pickups/deliveries and low claims.
