Job summary

Total Wine & More in Tempe, AZ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to grow the brand by delivering best-in-class service and fostering a distinctive world of beverages for our customers. You will support store operations and build a sales and service culture to expand our customer base and profitability, reporting to the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of work experience, 2+ years of managerial or supervisory retail experience.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing a sales-focused team.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver against key performance metrics (KPMs).
• Assist in recruiting, training, and leading store team, including ongoing development to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
• Support day-to-day operations, including payroll, inventory, merchandising and shrink.
• Deliver outstanding customer service by leading by example and resolving customer issues.
• Help maintain vendor relationships to support store and inventory objectives.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale of alcohol and maintain a safe store environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
