Job summary

UPMC is hiring a full-time Practice Manager to support the UPMC Primary Care team in Gettysburg. This role oversees daily operations at physician offices, coordinates schedules, and ensures smooth patient care with regulatory compliance.

The position is 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with travel up to 25% to Hanover region and occasional trips to Harrisburg. Growth opportunities and leadership pathways are available within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree + 3 years of management experience with 1 year healthcare experience
• Associate's Degree + 3 years management experience and 3 years of healthcare experience
• High School Diploma + 5 years management experience and 5 years of healthcare experience

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations at physician offices and clinic sites and coordinates work activities.
• Manages schedules and call-offs.
• Ensures office space, supplies, equipment, and assistance are provided and maintained for medical staff and patient care.
• Manages all functions of the financial and patient management system at physician offices.
• Ensures compliance with system-wide/departmental policies and procedures, including patient confidentiality and regulatory requirements (OSHA, CLIA, PA DoH).
• Integration of new physicians into CMI practices.
• Monitor and meet practice benchmarks including patient access and scheduling.
• Work with senior management to prepare budgets and align operations with objectives and budgets.
• Develop and maintain a patient-centric culture aligned with consumerism initiatives.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise staff, conduct evaluations, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
• Identify and resolve work problems to ensure quality patient service.
• Communicate with senior management and physicians with regular updates on operations.
