Job summary

Nexstar Media Group’s FOX 5 and KUSI in San Diego seeks an Account Executive who wants to win new business and grow revenue across TV and digital advertising. You will prospect, build relationships with decision makers, and craft tailored marketing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building client relationships.
• Strong understanding of the media landscape and digital marketing strategies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• Experience with Nielsen or other media measurement tools a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Generate new and incremental revenue with a strong focus on new business and digital revenue growth, achieving monthly sales goals through prospecting and lead-generation strategies.
• Manage client accounts, upsell and cross-sell broadcast, digital, streaming, and integrated marketing solutions.
• Conduct needs assessments to understand clients' objectives and develop customized advertising solutions.
• Present proposals and negotiate contracts to convert opportunities into revenue.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
• Monitor campaign performance and provide clients with reports and optimization insights.
• Stay up to date on industry trends and digital capabilities to position the station's offerings.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and maintain a healthy pipeline.
• Maintain accurate records of prospecting activity and opportunities in the CRM.
• Attend client meetings and industry events to generate leads and expand advertiser base.
• Demonstrate urgency and accountability in prospecting and business development.
