Job summary

Soko Glam, a Brooklyn-based beauty brand, is hiring a Director of Marketing to lead all marketing efforts. You will set strategy, guide the team, and own channels including email, SMS, creators, and paid media.

You’ll drive growth, report weekly on performance, manage partners, and work with founders on launches; this is a hands-on leadership role with a four-day in-office hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in marketing with 3+ years leading a team or a marketing function.
• 2+ years at a beauty, skincare, or personal care brand
• Owned email and SMS strategy for a DTC or e‑commerce brand, including flows, segmentation, and revenue results
• Hands‑on experience building or scaling a creator, influencer, or affiliate program that drives sales, not just awareness
• Experience managing paid media budgets and directing agencies or contractors
• You think in numbers: profit margin, customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, and return on ad spend. You can show how your decisions moved them.
• Based in the New York City area and able to work from our Brooklyn office 4 days per week

Responsibilities

• Shape the marketing plan and calendar, and lead the team that brings it to life. You’ll work hand in hand with our campaign marketing lead on campaigns, social, and creative.
• Own the strategy and results for Email and SMS, grow revenue, and lead our in-house email specialist.
• Turn first-time shoppers into lifelong skincare fans by building welcome, post-purchase, replenishment, and win-back journeys.
• Grow our creator community by recruiting, activating, and monetizing creators.
• Decide where we show up with paid media across Meta, Google, and TikTok, and manage our paid media contractor.
• Introduce more people to Soko Glam, and do it profitably.
• Share a clear weekly read on what’s working, what isn’t, and where to invest next.
• Hire and manage specialists in influencer relations, paid media, and design; partner on launches and campaigns.
