Job summary

As an Assistant Store Manager at Citi Trends, you will support daily store operations, lead the team, and help with staffing efforts alongside the Store Manager to drive sales and maintain operational excellence.

You will assist with hiring, onboarding, and development of associates, ensure a safe, customer-focused environment, and uphold Citi Trends' policies and standards while delivering strong results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and service.
• Assist Store Manager with hiring, interviews, onboarding, and training support.
• Help maintain staffing levels through recruiting and retention efforts.
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
