Job summary

Citi Trends in the United States is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead a high-performing team, and assist with hiring, onboarding, and development of store associates.

You will partner closely with the Store Manager to drive sales, maintain operational excellence, ensure exceptional customer experience, and reinforce Citi Trends policies and loss-prevention standards across the store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3-5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention efforts.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Hire, screen, onboard, and train store associates with Store Manager support.
• Maintain staffing levels and support retention efforts.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to the team.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and customer-focused store environment.
• Uphold merchandising, operational, and visual standards.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support store operations.
