Job summary

UMB Bank is seeking a Personal Banker to build relationships, recommend products, and deliver tailored financial solutions. You’ll complete training on UMB’s products, work with leaders, and grow through mentorship while supporting customers in everyday banking needs.

You’ll engage customers, manage transactions, and contribute to a high-energy, sales-driven environment with weekend/evening hours as needed. Compensation reflects market ranges and benefits.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a retail environment engaging customers and making product recommendations that lead to sales.
• Ability to obtain NMLS registration within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Ask personalized questions to convert transactions and routine service requests into cross-sell conversations.
• Create sales opportunities by calling leads, visiting businesses, and developing referral networks.
• Achieve daily key performance metrics while balancing competing priorities.
• Learn processes like transactions, cash drawer management, and bank documentation to industry standards.
