R.P. Lumber Co. is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to grow new business by selling our full range of lumber and building materials to contractors, developers, and homeowners in Monmouth, IL. You will call on customers, visit job sites, provide product expertise, and drive revenue through strong relationship building.

The role requires knowledge of building products, the ability to read blueprints, and excellent communication. Competitive wages and full-time benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent; 1–2 years related experience or training.
• Outside sales experience in building materials preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel and POS systems (BisTrack).

Responsibilities

• Identify prospective customers and generate sales leads from various sources.
• Call on and visit customers to solicit orders and provide product knowledge.
• Deliver quality customer service and manage contractor accounts.
• Assist customers in selecting products and preparing quotes and pricing bids.
• Coordinate with management and internal teams to meet store goals.
