Job summary

ShipMonk is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a functional operation or an entire shift in our fulfillment centers. You will mentor a team of 3-7 front-line supervisors and 50-200+ hourly associates, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and act as the information source for your team.

You will champion data-driven decisions, collaborate across functions, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
• 2-3 years supervisory experience required, preferably in e-commerce, warehousing/distribution.
• 1-2 years management experience preferred (salaried direct-reports or equivalent).
• Operational experience across two or more functional areas of e-commerce/warehousing/3PL.
• Ability to manage, motivate, direct, lead and develop other leaders and team members.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to exceed targets and SLA accomplishments.
• Strong technical and analytical skills with Excel/Sheets/Tableau/ERP/WMS/TMS.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe work environment for all Associates and Leaders.
• Lead and develop a team of 3-7 front-line Supervisors and 50-200+ hourly associates.
• Act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency.
• Mentor, train, and develop teammates for career progression and recognition.
• Create, communicate and maintain quality control policies and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives for Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
• Build and deliver productivity plans by reviewing forecasts and balancing labor daily/weekly.
• Review performance data with Supervisors to ensure goals are met or exceeded.
• Partner with other managers to share best practices across shifts and the network.
