Job summary

Marriott Riverside at the Convention Center is seeking a Director of Sales to lead the property's sales and marketing team, maximize revenue, and execute aggressive strategies to meet budgeted goals.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will develop sales plans, manage rates, direct outside sales, and train staff while maintaining excellent relationships with clients and colleagues in a fast-paced downtown setting.

Qualifications

• 3 years proven hotel sales experience.
• Strong business communication and presentation skills.
• May be required to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop sales strategies for property, including targeted market segments and advertising.
• Develop a realistic annual marketing plan with monthly forecasts.
• Emphasize control procedures and yield management for rate availability.
• Establish and execute an effective outside sales program.
• Direct internal servicing of groups.
• Train sales and marketing staff and drive actionable results.
• Collaborate with hotel management and other teams.
