Job summary

Ameris Bank is seeking a customer-focused banking professional to serve as a consultant to customers by conducting financial profiles, identifying needs, and cross-selling and up-selling opportunities. You will attract, expand, and retain customer relationships and contribute to the financial growth of the banking center.

Other duties include performing onboarding activities for new clients, handling teller functions when needed, and providing backup support to other branches as required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of customer service experience required.
• 1+ years of retail banking experience required.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Cross selling experience preferred.
• Consumer credit experience preferred.
• Platform banking experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent education and related training or experience required.

Responsibilities

• Grow and retain high-value consumer and business client relationships.
• Educate clients and maintain customer loyalty.
• Apply need-based sales techniques to attract and retain clients.
• Maintain knowledge of banking products and promotions.
• Open new accounts and service existing accounts.
• Meet sales and service goals.
• Assist and mentor colleagues as needed.
• Provide back-up support to other branches.
