Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and GAAP.
• National Bookkeeper and Payroll certifications or ability to obtain.
• MS Office experience, especially Word and Excel.
• Ability to multi-task across windows.
• Familiarity with bookkeeping software and automation.
• Analytical and detail oriented.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Client services experience.
• Ability to complete projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Process various forms of financial information.
• Handle basic accounting tasks including data entry, bank reconciliations, and payroll management.
• Assist Tax Advisors with tax return data entry and uploads to the Block Advisors Fulfillment Network.
• Prepare and compile monthly and quarterly reports.
• Address client accounting irregularities with excellent customer service.
• Partner with Account Managers and Tax Advisors to provide bookkeeping and payroll information.
• Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Communicate with managers, clients, suppliers, vendors and banking contacts to ensure service delivery.
• Support growth opportunities and referrals to increase client base.
