Job summary

Jiffy Lube International in Houston, TX is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead general ledger, month-end close, and financial reporting across the franchisor network.

This hands-on role collaborates with Finance, Operations, Treasury, and A/P to implement scalable accounting processes and controls in a fast-growing environment; onsite five days a week in Northwest Houston, with TSA-related transition support under new ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; CPA or CPA-track preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of Public Accounting
• Minimum 3+ years of Industry Experience
• Experience with multi-entity, franchise, retail, automotive, or service-based business preferred.
• Experience with consolidated financial statements and intercompany transactions
• Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and close processes
• Experience working within ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, reclasses, and other monthly accounting transactions.
• Perform account reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis with supporting documentation.
• Support the monthly financial close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Maintain integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Assist with preparation of internal financial reporting packages and schedules.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances, unusual activity, and balance sheet fluctuations.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Operations to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Help establish scalable accounting workflows, controls, and documentation standards.
• Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement.
