Job summary

Sapho Bio seeks an early-career Growth Engineer to turn ambitious ideas into measurable growth, reporting to the Head of Growth. This hands-on role blends technology, AI, experimentation, and go-to-market execution, building AI apps, pipelines, and dashboards.

You’ll work on technical and scientific content, website operations, and events, with no required years of prior marketing experience. You will identify opportunities, hypothesize, prototype, launch tests, measure results, and iterate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Marketing, Life Sciences, or related field.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience building and testing modern AI tools and evaluating their output.
• Experience creating and scaling the distribution of technical or scientific content to real users.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; interest in biotech or regulated industries.
• Portfolio or case study with at least two full-stack prototypes, including hypotheses and metrics.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced startup; strong ownership.
• Must reside within reasonable commuting distance of San Carlos, CA.

Responsibilities

• Prototype and launch campaigns, content, digital experiences, and internal tools that test growth ideas quickly.
• Build and test AI apps, tools, and agents to accelerate research, content development, task execution, and data analysis; run structured tests to identify where AI improves quality or speed and where human review remains essential.
• Build an authoritative knowledge base for content generation: ingest and annotate sources for up-to-date, grounded information.
• Turn what works into scalable, auditable workflows: repeatable systems, templates, automations, and playbooks with measurable inputs/outputs.
• Translate complex technical and scientific work into accurate, audience-appropriate content.
• Own projects end to end and perform other duties as assigned in support of company growth.
