Job summary

Berkley Edge is seeking an Associate Underwriter – Management Liability to support growth and profitability of the Management Liability portfolio. You will underwrite and manage an assigned book, evaluate risks, and maintain broker relationships to deliver excellent service.

Responsibilities include underwriting new and renewal business, pricing, and negotiating terms while collaborating with internal teams on strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant insurance industry experience.
• 1-2+ years of Management Liability underwriting experience.
• 1-2+ years of Excess & Surplus (E&S) underwriting experience.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal Management Liability business within assigned authority.
• Evaluate submissions, pricing, coverage, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations to determine risk acceptability.
• Build and maintain strong broker relationships to drive business growth and enhance market presence.
• Serve as a primary contact for assigned brokers, resolving service issues and providing responsive support.
• Negotiate coverage terms, identify new business opportunities, and achieve production goals.
• Apply underwriting, pricing, and risk selection expertise to support profitable growth.
• Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to underwriting, operational, and strategic initiatives.
