Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and uphold safety and property standards. Responsibilities include handling service requests, participating in on-call rotations, and maintaining records for preventive maintenance across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related systems.

The role requires at least two years in apartment maintenance or a related trade, a high school diploma or equivalent, and EPA certification.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time apartment maintenance or related trade experience.
• Must have English communication skills; Spanish a plus.
• EPA refrigerant certification required/recommended.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours whenever possible.
• Assist in maintenance of property systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC and safety systems.
• Operate and care for tools, equipment, and preventive maintenance records.
• Support on-call rotations and standby schedules as needed.
• Assist with inspections and ensure compliance with policies and laws.
