Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Maintenance to support the maintenance supervisor and uphold property safety and quality. The role involves handling service requests, performing routine upkeep on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, and working with the leasing team to optimize renewals and occupancy.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in apartment maintenance, a high school diploma, EPA certification, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Two years of full-time apartment maintenance experience or a related trade.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• EPA refrigerant certification required.
• Must have basic hand tools and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours whenever possible.
• Assist maintenance supervisor and participate in on-call rotations.
• Perform routine maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and related systems.
• Keep accurate records of work orders, preventive maintenance, and make-ready status.
• Adhere to safety policies and comply with ADA, Fair Housing, OSHA rules.
