Job summary

Reader’s Digest is seeking a Newsletter Editor to produce daily and weekly newsletters, shape strategy, curate content, and analyze performance trends. You’ll collaborate with the broader Reader’s Digest team to pitch and write content, and contribute to brainstorms.

You should have strong editing instincts, be comfortable using data to guide ideas, and be excited to grow in content strategy. This role is based in the Milwaukee area with a hybrid work culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years editorial experience in digital publishing.
• At least 2 years producing newsletters.
• Working understanding of CMS, SEO, and performance tools like Google Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Strategize, schedule, and build the daily and weekly Reader’s Digest and The Healthy newsletters.
• Write all newsletter copy, including subject lines; select visuals that grab the reader.
• Monitor newsletter traffic and trends using analytics; pivot strategies as needed.
• Send monthly performance reports informing the team on traffic and trends.
• Pitch and ideate newsletter franchises to grow newsletter traffic and reach.
• Coordinate with the Visuals team to produce new imagery for newsletters.
