Job summary

GreenState Insurance is seeking an Insurance Advisor to drive commercial lines growth through outside sales with members and local businesses. You will advise on insurance products, build a robust book of business, and partner with internal teams to expand wallet share within the membership.

The role requires five years in property casualty sales, valid P&C and Life/Health licenses, and a CIC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years as an agent specializing in property casualty insurance sales.
• P&C license required.
• Life and Health Insurance license required.
• CIC certificate preferred.
• Experience in an independent agency preferred.
• Demonstrated entrepreneurial approach to growing business.
• Must be able to maintain appointments with various external insurance carriers.
• Must be bondable.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the Credit Union's core values and service standards.
• Advises prospects and insureds regarding features, advantages and disadvantages of various insurance products in an outside sales environment.
• Sells all lines of new business insurance policies to membership and prospects.
• Develops and fosters relationships with recommendation sources outside of the credit union to drive business to the agency.
• Partners with GreenState divisions to drive capture rate and share of the wallet within membership.
• Makes location visits and attends events to generate leads and support community initiatives.
• Maintains and services personal book of business and client relationships.
• Keeps up to date on carriers, products, and underwriting guidelines.
• Attends continuing education and internal meetings as required.
• Maintains adherence to laws, policies, and internal controls.
• Participates in community service activities annually.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
