Job summary

Jobot is seeking a seasoned construction estimator for an on-site role in Myrtle Beach, SC. You will review drawings and bid documents and collaborate with project teams to shape bids and identify risks.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of estimating experience, fluency with Bluebeam, Procore, PlanSwift, and Excel, and a bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Experience reading drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proficiency with estimating software (Bluebeam, Procore, PlanSwift) and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, bid documents, and project scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and estimate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Request and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates and bid proposals.
• Identify cost, schedule, and project risks, and recommend value-engineering options.
• Work with project managers, engineers, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to clarify requirements.
• Support contract negotiations and pricing for change orders.
• Maintain estimating tools and cost data; compare estimated costs with project results.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs as needed.
• Build relationships with industry contacts for future opportunities.
