Job summary

ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies, in the Chicago area, seeks a Director of Business Development to lead our new racking, automation, material handling, and warehouse solutions team. You will leverage ARCO/Murray’s industrial TI experience to expand turnkey design/build services and grow the client base.

You will identify opportunities, build relationships with decision makers, travel as needed, and mentor future business developers while collaborating with Marketing, PM, and senior

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Design, Construction Management or related field.
• 5-7+ years of technical sales experience in industrial racking, automation, material handling or warehouse management systems.
• Experience selling directly to clients or end-users in Cold Storage, Manufacturing, Food & Beverage Production, and/or Distribution.
• Proven ability to establish profitable relationships with decision makers and influencers.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Leverage ARCO's network to identify new racking or material handling projects and grow the business.
• Develop relationships with industry professionals to generate opportunities.
• Create and expand ARCO’s footprint and positive top-of-mind awareness.
• Research market factors and attend trade shows to monitor conditions and competition.
• Provide progress updates to ARCO management and assist in sales planning.
• Coordinate and manage the sales/proposal process with Marketing, PM, and senior leadership.
• Mentor future business developers within ARCO/Murray.
