Job summary

ARCO is seeking a Director of Business Development for racking and automation solutions in the Chicago area. You will leverage ARCO's extensive industrial network to identify and win turnkey design/build projects, expanding our footprint in warehouse solutions.

Build relationships with senior decision-makers, travel as needed, mentor rising business developers, and partner with marketing, PM, and leadership to execute sales plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Engineering/Construction Management preferred.
• 5–7+ years of technical sales in industrial racking, automation and material handling.
• Experience selling to cold storage, manufacturing, food & beverage, or distribution a plus.

Responsibilities

• Leverage ARCO's existing network to identify new racking or material handling system projects and grow the business.
• Identify and develop relationships with industry professionals to generate new opportunities.
• Create and expand ARCO’s footprint and establish positive top of mind awareness.
• Research and analyze market conditions in niche markets or geographic areas.
• Attend trade shows and associations’ meetings to stay abreast of market conditions and establish client relationships.
• Provide ongoing progress updates to ARCO management on new business development activities.
• Help develop and manage the execution of the sales plan.
• Coordinate and manage the sales/proposal process with marketing, PM, and senior leadership.
• Provide mentorship to future business developers within ARCO/Murray.
• Work as part of a team that collaborates and wins together!
