ARCO/Murray National Construction in the Chicago area seeks a Director of Business Development to lead the racking, automation, and warehouse solutions sales efforts. You will leverage an established industrial client base and your network to win projects, shaping ARCO/Murray’s turnkey design/build offerings.

The role emphasizes relationship building with decision makers, cross-functional collaboration, and market expansion across Cold Storage, Manufacturing, and Distribution sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; engineering, design, construction management or related fields preferred.
• 5-7+ years of technical sales experience in industrial racking, automation, material handling or warehouse management systems.
• Experience selling to clients or end-users in Cold Storage, Manufacturing, Food & Beverage Production, and/or Distribution preferred.
• Proven ability to establish profitable relationships with decision makers and influencers.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Leverage networks to identify new racking or material handling system projects and grow the business.
• Develop relationships with industry professionals to generate opportunities.
• Create and expand ARCO’s footprint and top-of-mind awareness.
• Research market conditions and identify potential new markets or niches.
• Attend trade shows and associations to stay informed on competition and market activity.
• Provide progress updates to ARCO management on new business development activities and KPIs.
• Help develop and manage the sales plan and coordinate the proposal process with marketing and leadership.
• Mentor future business developers within ARCO/Murray.
