Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Cited experience: five years in construction business development or related leadership; or 10+ years in lieu of degree.
• Experience developing customer relationships, managing pursuits, and securing profitable construction work.
• Knowledge of construction delivery methods, estimating, project execution, and commercial risk.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Experience maintaining disciplined CRM and opportunity reporting process.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings, industry events, and project visits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a business development plan aligned with priorities and growth objectives.
• Identify target customers, markets, sectors, and geographic opportunities.
• Establish and maintain relationships with owners, general contractors, developers, and strategic partners.
• Coordinate pursuit recommendations and bid/no-bid decisions through established processes.
• Maintain an accurate opportunity pipeline with scope, value, stage, and timing.
• Lead pursuit activities with Preconstruction and business unit leaders to ensure accurate solutions.
• Collaborate with Finance, Controls, and Operations on pricing strategy, margins, and terms.
• Plan workforce capacity with Preconstruction, Controls, Operations, and Talent.
• Ensure awarded work handoffs with documented commitments and risks.
• Monitor market intelligence to adjust pursuit priorities and positioning.
• Coach team members and build scalable business development processes.
