Job summary

Railway is hiring a remote, globally distributed Content Marketing Engineer to optimize AEO and SEO through writing and engineering. You will own content strategy, performance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to elevate our documentation, blog, and product storytelling.

You will work with engineers and developers to produce educational content, deploy app examples on Railway, and influence site architecture and performance across global audiences.

Qualifications

• Excellent writing and communication abilities.
• Ability to analyze data in AEO tools (e.g., Gauge) and observe user trends.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Comfort with ambiguity in an early stage startup.

Responsibilities

• Research and report on current performance in search, agents, and LLM chat to inform content priorities.
• Engineer content across owned assets to drive both SEO and AEO.
• Build standalone app examples to illustrate Railway capabilities.
• Improve documentation and blog to become top-ranked assets.
• Own technical site performance end-to-end and improve searchability.
