Job summary

Railway is hiring a remote Content Marketing Engineer focused on AEO. You will write and engineer content to improve search and agent-based discovery, build standalone app examples, and strengthen our documentation and blog as top assets.

You will analyze data from AEO tools and user trends to guide topics, and collaborate with developers across stacks to explain complex ideas simply. This role offers high autonomy in a distributed startup environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent written communication and ability to explain technical topics clearly.
• Experience analyzing data in AEO tools and user trends to inform content.
• Strong prioritization skills in a fast-paced startup.
• Willingness to work across multiple languages/stacks and produce educational content on cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Research and report on our current performance in search, agents, and LLM chat to guide content improvements.
• Engineer content across owned assets to drive traditional SEO and agentic search (AEO).
• Build standalone app examples to clarify what can be done on Railway and how it works.
• Improve documentation and blog to become top-ranked assets, including guides and site architecture refinements.
• Own our technical site performance end-to-end, improving searchability.
