Job summary

Plante Moran is seeking a seasoned Business Developer to drive new business opportunities and lead pursuit teams. You will engage with industry leaders, plan outreach, and close new business while representing the firm at professional events.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance, with 7–10 years in related fields and a track record of $750k+ annual first-year fees. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field required.
• Advanced degrees or professional certifications (CPA, CBDM or similar) highly valued.
• 7–10 years in business development, sales, or client relationship management in professional services with $750k+ first-year fees.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical and communication skills.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and cloud-based accounting tools.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and develop new business opportunities by engaging with industry leaders and attending events.
• Lead pursuit teams and develop contact plans to uncover client needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams to execute pursuit strategies and proposal development.
• Maintain records of BD activities in the CRM and prepare management reports.
• Represent the firm at associations, trade shows, and networking events.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field
