Job summary

THF CPAs in Lakeland, FL seeks a Business Development Consultant to drive growth by identifying opportunities, cultivating relationships, and expanding the firm’s market presence. You will work with shareholders and industry leaders to develop and execute strategies that generate qualified leads.

This is an in-person, full-time role that requires travel within the firm’s footprint and strong presentation, networking, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Finance, or related field
• Has at least 5 years of experience in business development, professional services sales, or related field
• Proven track record of generating new business and revenue growth
• Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
• Strong networking and relationship management skills
• Existing professional network within the firm’s market area and community involvement
• Ability to travel within geographic footprint
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Experience with CRM software preferred

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual business development strategy for Lakeland, Dade City and Tampa markets
• Collaborate with audit, tax, and CAS departments to identify and pursue new opportunities
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients
• Lead discovery meetings with prospective clients to understand challenges and opportunities
• Coordinate proposal development and presentations with firm leadership
• Track opportunities through the CRM system from initial contact to engagement
• Research market trends to identify growth opportunities
• Serve as a trusted ambassador for the firm in the local community
