Job summary

Short Story is a fast-growing, data-driven retailer focused on petite women. We are seeking an early-career Community & Growth Operator to build our organic growth engine, turning customers into active members, creators, and advocates across multiple functions.

You’ll own live programming, co-create lo-fi content, and support shoots and campaigns while learning through experimentation and cross-functional projects. This role offers visibility and real ownership in a brand with scale.

Qualifications

• Native creator with a personal audience (5k+ followers) or experience managing a community.
• Comfortable on camera and able to appear confidently in videos.
• Curious, scrappy, and excited by new challenges.
• Built or grown a community, account, project, or side hustle.
• Enjoy testing ideas, seeing what works, and iterating fast.

Responsibilities

• Build & Activate Community across owned channels (e.g., Facebook Group).
• Turn customers into creators and ambassadors; support a group of micro-creators.
• Create organic, native content; film and edit lo-fi video; repurpose moments.
