Job summary

DEPT® is seeking a Principal, Data Analyst to collaborate with clients and shape data strategy across marketing and product domains. You will conduct advanced analytics, data mining, predictive modeling, and forecasting to drive data-driven decisions and business outcomes.

You will present findings to cross‑functional teams, mentor junior staff, and help build scalable analytics solutions using cloud platforms and AI tools. This is a Growth Invention role at a leading tech/marketing firm.

Qualifications

5+ years of applied analytics in marketing, product, engineering, sales, or finance.
5+ years of discovery and assessment of a client's data portfolio, data tools, and data applications.
3+ years of data management and consulting experience.
Strong working knowledge of SQL.
Experience in Python, R, Matlab, or SPSS for analytics.
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure.
Familiarity with AI/LLM tools for analytics transformation.
Ability to manage a data ecosystem including ETL, governance, reporting, and insights.
Project management, requirements gathering, data architecture, and visualization.

Responsibilities

Shape business and data strategy for client projects.
Perform analysis, data mining, predictive modeling, and forecasting.
Present approaches and recommendations to product, engineering, marketing, sales, and finance.
Lead data-driven processes from RFP to delivery.
Mentor junior colleagues on processes, analyses, and client communication.
