Job summary

Verkada is seeking a strategic analytics leader to drive marketing analytics and data science initiatives from our San Mateo HQ. You will diagnose performance, uncover growth opportunities, and evaluate ROI as an internal strategy consultant, using SQL, dbt, Looker, and AI-powered tools to accelerate insights.

You will report to the Senior Manager of Data Science and Analytics and work on-site five days a week, shaping KPI definitions and building scalable analytics that empower marketing

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics, strategy, consulting, growth, or related field.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with large, complex datasets.
• Strong business judgment and a track record of turning analysis into action.
• Experience with marketing, growth, funnel, revenue, or go-to-market analytics.
• Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Analyze campaign, channel, segment, and funnel performance to identify growth opportunities.
• Evaluate marketing ROI and inform where to invest time and budget.
• Turn ambiguous questions into structured analyses, recommendations, and next steps.
• Build forecasts, targets, business cases, and measurement frameworks.
• Independently analyze large datasets and test hypotheses.
• Partner with leadership to define KPIs and influence decisions.
• Build scalable analytics and AI-powered tools to move faster.
• Communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
