Job summary

Boeing Aerospace Operations in Whidbey Island, WA is seeking an EA-18G Structures Mechanic to modify and enhance the Growler's structural components for capability upgrades and mission readiness.

The role requires at least 3 years on F/A-18/EA-18G, ability to read complex drawings, and experience with fuselage/wing structures. Candidates must meet safety, quality standards and export-control requirements, with relocation possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience on the F/A-18 and/or EA-18G platform.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering change documents.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with aircraft fuselage or wing structures assembly, maintenance or repair.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex structural modifications and repairs on EA-18G Growler aircraft, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and technical bulletins.
• Execute capability upgrades focusing on structural integrity, aerodynamics, and integration with electronic warfare systems.
• Interpret and utilize blueprints, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and modification instructions specifically related to aircraft structures.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to ensure correct execution of modifications.
• Maintain detailed documentation and records of repair/modification activities, inspection results, and configuration changes.
• Adhere strictly to safety procedures, environmental regulations, and Boeing’s quality management systems.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance modification processes, reduce cycle times, and improve aircraft capability.
• Support troubleshooting efforts to resolve structural issues affecting aircraft performance or mission readiness.
