Job summary

Connections Wellness Group is seeking a Group Therapist to deliver group psychotherapy within PHP and IOP levels of care in Arlington, TX. The role focuses on reducing symptoms, building coping skills, and supporting long-term wellness through a holistic, evidence-based curriculum.

The position requires a Master’s degree in social work or counseling, an active state license, and CPR/AVADE training. The work is in-person at our Arlington location with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work or counseling and state licensure.
• Experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency populations preferred.
• Current unencumbered clinical license per state of practice guidelines.
• CPR certification and Avade training during orientation week at our Plano location.

Responsibilities

• Conducts individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients regarding psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems.
• Participates in treatment planning and discharge/after-care planning processes.
• Provides family session counseling to ensure communication and involvement of family members.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team including physicians, utilization review, and nursing staff.
• Maintains HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 compliance in all communications.
