Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking dedicated teachers who are passionate about nurturing kids, connecting with the community, and making learning enjoyable. This full-time, hourly role pays $17.00-$18.00 per hour in Gilbertsville, PA, with benefits and opportunities to grow within a non-profit organization.

Requirements include a degree in education or human services and at least 2 years (2500 hours) of childcare experience.

Qualifications

• Proof of an achieved degree from an accredited college or university in education or human services related field as defined by the appropriate state licensing agency.
• 2 plus years (2500 Hours) childcare experience

Responsibilities

• Finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn
• Being patient and kind with our parents
• Being a role model by making a positive, lasting difference in the lives of children and their families.
• Cultivating a sensitive, patient early learning environment for both children and families.
• Planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.
• Supervising each child in your care by being able to identify, SEE, HEAR, DIRECT and ASSIST, always ensuring a safe environment.
• Upholding all YMCA, State, and Quality Rating Systems policies and guidelines for overall commitment to quality in childcare.
• Maintaining a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.
