Job summary

The Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking passionate teachers to nurture great minds and connect with families in our community. This full-time, hourly position offers a supportive team and opportunities to grow within a non-profit that strengthens local neighborhoods.

Qualifications

• Proof of an achieved degree from an accredited college or university in education or human services related field as defined by the appropriate state licensing agency.
• 2+ years (2500 hours) childcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Find new and engaging ways to help kids learn.
• Be patient and kind with parents.
• Be a role model by making a positive, lasting difference in the lives of children and their families.
• Cultivate a sensitive, patient early learning environment for children and families.
• Plan and implement dynamic curricula to offer fun, age-appropriate lessons.
• Supervise each child to ensure a safe environment and assist as needed.
• Uphold YMCA and state policies for quality childcare.
• Maintain a healthy environment through light cleaning and personal care routines.
