Job summary

State of Minnesota's Direct Care and Treatment division is seeking a Group Supervisor Assistant to oversee staff and support vocational and day services for individuals with cognitive and intellectual disabilities in a community-based setting.

The role includes ensuring adequate staffing, backing up coordinators, and assisting the Rehabilitation Therapist Supervisor in program operations and policy implementation.

Qualifications

• 1 year supervisory experience in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment.
• 2 years lead work experience in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment providing counseling, rehabilitative patient care, or direction of client care programs.
• 3 years experience in a therapeutic, residential or corrective environment providing counseling, rehabilitative patient care, or direction of client care programs.
• Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Rehabilitation Therapy, Health Sciences, Behavioral Sciences or a related field may substitute for 6 months of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory and programmatic functions for a community-based services program.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels to deliver services to supported individuals.
• Back up for the program's designated coordinators and assist RTS in operations.
• Assist with developing and implementing effective work methods, policies, and procedures.
