Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Group Sales Manager to join our team at WD-40 Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and inspiring (field) Sales Managers, Inside Sales Managers, and outside rep agencies in the implementation of company omni sales and marketing programs to meet direct and indirect sales and EBITDA metrics within assigned territory/channel/business unit.

This is a U.S. remote role.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Responsible for leading sales teams to achieve NIS and EBITDA goals by developing and implementing plans, promotions, and pricing.
  • Develops strategy and conducts key customer negotiations. Proactively develops people and collaborates with external partners.
  • Develops account-specific programs and champions category management initiatives. Contributes to channel account plans and digital content creation.
  • Reviews and prioritizes market maps/business development plans.
  • Manages overall customer P&L and trade budget.
  • Proactively leads sales and promotion plans to maximize growth.
  • Identifies sales opportunities and competitive threats through market intelligence analysis.
  • Communicates regularly with third-party representatives and establishes/maintains top-level contact with customers.
  • Responsible for managing and enhancing product display pages, including routine/non-routine product setup, content provision, and monitoring to ensure alignment with identified end-users.
  • Leadership : Demonstrate servant leadership in the attainment of corporate, department and personal goalsthroughdeveloping andleading a highly effective team. What You’ll Bring To The Role

  • 5+ years sales management experience in industrial sales channels
  • 3+ years responsibility for brand sales to trade commerce retailers
  • Demonstrated history of promotion and increasing responsibility culminating in leading sales efforts with ecommerce retailers
  • Demonstrated ability of achieving stretch sales/growth targets
  • Experience successfully selling new products or line extensions
  • Successful strategic planning and tactical execution across multiple trade channels
  • Experience with P&L ownership
  • Preference for bachelor’s degree in business: emphasis on sales and /or marketing; MBA, desirable
  • Ability to travel 50% +
  • Current and valid driver’s license is required, company car provided

Total Rewards

$96,000 – $130,000 / year includes base salary plus 10% - 15% profit-sharing contribution to your retirement account. Salary is determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data
