Job summary

Virginia Guest House Hotel and Conference Center in Charlottesville, VA, a newly built 214-room property with 25,000 square feet of event space, seeks a dynamic Group Sales Manager to drive group and conference sales and support the Director of Sales & Marketing in achieving revenue goals.

You will prospect new business, cultivate relationships with university groups, corporations, and associations, and coordinate with the events team to ensure flawless execution on site.

Qualifications

• Experience in group and conference sales is preferred.
• Ability to develop and execute sales strategies for multiple revenue streams.
• Proven ability to prospect, qualify, and close new business.

Responsibilities

• Generate group, conference, and event sales revenue for the hotel.
• Develop and execute sales strategies across rooms, F&B, and services.
• Support the Director of Sales & Marketing in revenue goals and initiatives.
• Prospect and secure new business while growing existing accounts.
• Maintain relationships with corporate, university, association, and social groups.
• Utilize CRM to manage client interactions and track opportunities.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows and industry events.
• Coordinate with events team to ensure flawless execution.
