Job summary

ALG Vacations, part of Hyatt, is seeking a Group Sales Consultant to drive group vacation sales and execute strategic initiatives. You will serve as the main contact for travel advisors, building relationships and guiding the group booking process from quote to confirmation.

The role focuses on converting inbound group opportunities into confirmed bookings, delivering exceptional service and maximizing revenue potential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience in travel, group sales, events, or wedding planning.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building ability.
  • Strong time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact to prepare group quotes and contracts.
  • Manage new and active leads through CRM.
  • Develop itineraries to meet group needs and quotes.
  • Attend training to maintain product knowledge and terms.
  • Present quotes professionally and secure the sale.
  • Respond to group inquiries promptly.
  • Maintain follow-up communication with customers every 24-48 hours.
  • Meet sales goals and expectations set by leadership.
  • Build loyalty and relationships with customers, agencies, and suppliers.
  • Handle incoming calls and emails as needed.

Essential Functions
  • Serve as the primary point-of-contact for customers to prepare group quotes, generate contracts, assist with in-destination requirements, or perform other similar duties
  • Manage new and active leads through CRM
  • Work with customers to develop appropriate itineraries to satisfy their group needs
  • Attend training sessions to build or maintain product knowledge, including processes and terms and conditions
  • Present quote information to customers in a professional manner and secure the sale
  • Respond to group vacation inquiries on a timely basis
  • Consistent follow-up communication with customers every 24-48 hours
  • Meet sales goals and expectations as established by leadership
  • Build customer loyalty and maintain strong relationships with customers, agencies, and suppliers
  • Answer incoming calls and emails via the group communication channels as needed
Qualifications

Experience:

  • T wo (2) plus years of relevant experience in travel, group sales,eventand/or wedding planning; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strongproficiencyin Microsoft Excelas well asOutlook,Teams,PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience working in Salesforce or a similar CRM
  • Mustpossessexcellent interpersonal skills and the ability tomaintainstrong relationships both internally and externally
  • Good timemanagement, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to contribute to results driven andteam-orientedenvironment
  • Ability to work independently in a home-office environment free of distractions
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong communicationskills with the ability to communicate ideas verbally and in writing, to include strong presentation ability. As well as listening to various messages and asking theappropriate questionsdriveto a solution.

The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
