Job summary

ALG Vacations, part of Hyatt, is seeking a Group Sales Consultant in Milwaukee to drive group vacation sales and convert inbound opportunities into confirmed bookings while delivering exceptional service to travel advisors. You will develop itineraries, coordinate with agencies and suppliers, and maximize revenue through proactive account management.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in travel, group sales, event and/or wedding planning.
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience desired.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience in Salesforce or similar CRM.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain relationships.
  • Good time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a home-office environment free of distractions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Analytical skills to understand data sets.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare group quotes, generate contracts, assist with in-destination requirements, or perform other similar duties
  • Manage new and active leads through CRM
  • Develop itineraries to satisfy group needs
  • Attend training sessions to build product knowledge
  • Present quote information professionally and secure the sale
  • Respond to group vacation inquiries promptly
  • Follow up with customers every 24-48 hours
  • Meet sales goals and leadership expectations
  • Build customer loyalty and relationships with customers, agencies, suppliers
  • Answer incoming calls and emails via group channels

This role focuses on converting inbound group opportunities into confirmed bookings while delivering exceptional service and maximizing revenue potential. As a key member of the Group Sales team, the consultant serves as the primary point of contact for travel advisors, providing expert guidance throughout the group booking process, building strong relationships, and ensuring a seamless customer experience from quote to confirmation.

Essential Functions
  • Serve as the primary point-of-contact for customers to prepare group quotes, generate contracts, assist with in-destination requirements, or perform other similar duties
  • Manage new and active leads through CRM
  • Work with customers to develop appropriate itineraries to satisfy their group needs
  • Attend training sessions to build or maintain product knowledge, including processes and terms and conditions
  • Present quote information to customers in a professional manner and secure the sale
  • Respond to group vacation inquiries on a timely basis
  • Consistent follow-up communication with customers every 24-48 hours
  • Meet sales goals and expectations as established by leadership
  • Build customer loyalty and maintain strong relationships with customers, agencies, and suppliers
  • Answer incoming calls and emails via the group communication channels as needed
Qualifications
Experience
  • T wo (2) plus years of relevant experience in travel, group sales, event and/or wedding planning; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience desired
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel as well as Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience working in Salesforce or a similar CRM
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Good time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to contribute to results driven and team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work independently in a home-office environment free of distractions
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate ideas verbally and in writing, to include strong presentation ability. As well as listening to various messages and asking the appropriate questions drive to a solution.
  • Strong analytical acumen with the ability to understand and develop solutions from various data sets.

The pay range for this position is an hourly rate of $20.00 to $22.00. This position is also eligible to earn overtime, shift differentials and incentive awards under certain circumstances.

The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
