Job summary

The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago, a luxury hotel atop Water Tower Place in the Gold Coast, seeks a detail‑driven Group Sales Coordinator to support the Group Sales team from inquiry through arrival. You’ll coordinate client and group information, prepare proposals, and liaise with Sales, Catering, Conference Services and Front Office to deliver flawless experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational secretarial.
• Previous sales, hospitality, and secretarial experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge/use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint.
• Strong editing skills and grammar/punctuation.
• Ability to type correspondence, reports and forms.

Responsibilities

• Answer sales office phones when sales staff not available; respond to inquiries professionally.
• Type correspondence, reports, contracts and prepare proposals or letters as directed.
• Coordinate all group and wedding business; follow up on signed/contracted business within five working days.
• Communicate with departments to ensure events meet client expectations.
• Maintain organized client and group information for efficient service.
• Develop client relationships through professional communication.
• Support monthly luncheons, client events and tours.
• Assist with group turnover and proper execution of events.
