Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field.
  • 5+ years in account/relationship management or similar.
  • Experience managing employer groups, HR professionals, or nonprofit leaders.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight and out-of-state travel.
  • Excellent executive communication with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce/HubSpot) to manage relationships.
  • Knowledge of CHM's healthcare sharing model preferred.

The Group Relationship Consultant serves as the strategic relationship owner for assigned Christian Healthcare Ministries (CHM) groups, delivering white-glove customer service, strengthening executive partnerships, and supporting retention, sustainability, and referral growth. From onboarding through renewal, this role provides proactive, consultative account leadership; addresses relationship risks; reinforces CHM's healthcare sharing model; and ensures assigned groups receive responsive support and disciplined follow-through. This role requires strong business acumen, extensive travel, and meaningful engagement with group administrators, HR leaders, executives, and other senior decision-makers to advance group success and CHM's mission.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Group Relationship Management
  • Own and manage a portfolio of assigned group relationships following enrollment and throughout the full relationship lifecycle.
  • Cultivate trusted, executive-level partnerships with group administrators, HR teams, senior leaders, and key decision-makers.
  • Provide consultative guidance, education, and strategic communication to ensure groups understand CHM programs, guidelines, processes, and available resources.
  • Lead regular in-person and virtual business reviews to assess satisfaction, address concerns, evaluate group health, and advance retention strategies.
Retention & Group Success
  • Develop and execute retention strategies for assigned groups through proactive engagement, relationship planning, and disciplined follow-through.

  • Resolve complex member and administrative concerns by coordinating cross-functional support and ensuring timely, professional resolution.
  • Lead renewal strategy discussions that preserve trust, reinforce CHM's value proposition, and support long-term group success.
Profitability & Strategic Growth
  • Oversee assigned group performance with a focus on retention, profitability, risk mitigation, and sustainable growth.
  • Advise administrators on CHM-approved cost containment initiatives and promote appropriate participation in eligible programs.
  • Partner with leadership to evaluate portfolio trends, recommend strategic improvements, and support organizational growth objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for expanded services, increased participation, referrals, and process enhancements based on business needs, group feedback, and relationship insights.
Coordination & Internal Collaboration
  • Influence and coordinate with enrollment, finance, member support, medical review, and leadership teams to advance service delivery, issue resolution, and relationship outcomes.
  • Serve as an internal advocate and strategic liaison for assigned groups while balancing organizational priorities, operational effectiveness, and stewardship of resources.
  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation of executive interactions, relationship strategies, follow-up actions, referrals, risks, and performance indicators.
  • Ensure effective transitions from enrollment and onboarding into ongoing strategic relationship management.
Experience & Engagement Management
  • Set the standard for a consistent, professional, and mission-centered group experience that reflects CHM's values.
  • Position the value and impact of CHM's healthcare sharing ministry through consultative education, executive engagement, and relationship leadership.
  • Leverage key milestones, renewals, and group successes to reinforce partnership, engagement, and long-term commitment.
Travel & On-Site Group Engagement
  • Travel regularly to assigned group locations and strategic events to strengthen executive relationships, address business priorities, and advance retention and sustainability objectives.
  • Prepare for, document, and drive follow-through on, on-site meetings, strategic action items, relationship risks, cost containment opportunities, and referral activity.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, particularly in Business, Communications, Marketing, Organizational Leadership, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of progressive experience in account management, relationship management, customer success, business development, retention, group administration, or a related client-facing leadership role preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex or high-value relationships with employer groups, HR professionals, executive leaders, churches, or nonprofit organizations strongly preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively, including frequent overnight and out-of-state travel; valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Excellent executive communication skills, including the ability to prepare, present, and facilitate strategic discussions with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms to manage relationship strategies, pipeline activity, risks, and follow-up.
  • Ability to navigate complex and sensitive conversations with professionalism, empathy, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Working knowledge of CHM's model and guidelines; healthcare, insurance, employee benefits, or health sharing experience preferred.
